Description
West Lodge, Drumhead is a mid-19th century single-storey cottage with a rectangular plan and three bays. It is constructed from stugged, squared, and snecked rubble, featuring ashlar margins and dressings. The building has a base course, chamfered arrises, and advanced bracketed eaves.
The main elevation includes a shallow porch, which is a later addition, located at the center. The porch has wooden pillars and a slate half-pitched roof that sweeps back into the main pitch of the cottage. There is a two-leaf boarded door and windows on either side of the door.
On the side elevations, there are two windows symmetrically placed on the gable, with a single window on the right gable. There are also additions at the rear of the building.
