Description

Early 19th century single-storey and basement villa with

2-storey Victorian rear addition at North. South front is

5-bay plastered breaking forward into Roman Doric columns at

the centre bay, architraved windows with frieze and cornice

wreaths centred over the windows at the frieze of the main

entablature, low blocking course above broken by podia

centred over the pilasters, single segmentally arched

basement window flanking the steps, low pitched piended and

slated roof. Lower west bay with single arched opening and

cornice and blocking course raised at the centre. Elegant

interior. Mid Victorian whin rubble 2-storey addition at back

with roof of higher pitch, recently modernised. Walled garden

to South has low balustraded terraces and interesting rustic

garden house with brushwood eaves of sophisticated design

against East wall.
