Description

The Elms is a Jacobethan villa built around 1845, designed in the style of Burn and Bryce. It is two storeys tall and constructed from regularly coursed rubble. The building has an asymmetrical Z-plan layout, featuring single-storey canted bays at the gables. The windows are mullioned, with configurations of two and three lights, and there are dormerhead gablets topped with ball and spike finials. The porch includes an arched doorpiece and a consoled pediment hood.
