Description
This milestone, located on Glasgow Road opposite the east end of Arran Avenue in Kilmarnock, dates from the earlier 19th century. It is a three-sided structure with a canted top and a front arris. The milestone is made of tooled ashlar stone and features carved Baskerville lettering and numerals. On the north elevation, "Kilmarnock 1" is centrally engraved, while the south elevation displays "Glasgow 20," also centrally engraved.
