Description

This is a milestone located in Haile, likely dating from the early 19th century. It is made of ashlar stone and features a square post topped with a pyramidal cap. Two adjacent faces of the milestone are inscribed. On the left side, it reads "TO CALDER BRIDGE 2 MILES" and on the right side, it states "TO BECKERMONT 1 1/2 MILES".
