1 Ballochmyle Street, Catrine

1 Ballochmyle Street in Catrine is an earlier 19th-century symmetrical house that stands two stories high and features three bays, along with adjoining garages. The exterior is made of coursed dressed red sandstone with painted dressings, and it includes quoin strips, a base course, and an eaves course. The windows are regularly spaced, with the first-floor windows positioned just under the eaves. There has been rebuilding in the left bay at the ground level. To the west, there is a double garage with a boarded door. The eastern return of the building is broad and dry-dashed, featuring three windows. The first-floor windows are timber sash and case with 12 panes, while the ground floor has modern plate glass windows. The roof is a combination of piend and platform styles, covered with grey slates, and the stacks are dry-dashed, with brick used for the garage. The interior was not seen in 1996.
