Description
This building at 8 Ballochmyle Street in Catrine is an earlier 19th century structure consisting of a two-storey row of five terraced houses, featuring eleven bays in total. The exterior is made of coursed dressed red sandstone with polished dressings, complemented by quoin strips, a base course, and an eaves course. The first-floor windows are positioned hard under the eaves, and the fenestration is regular throughout.
The building has two-bay returns with shouldered wallhead stacks and showcases a variety of window styles. The roof is piended, with ashlar-coped mutual skews and grey slates. The wallhead stacks are made of ashlar, while the mutual stacks are brick, with one stack reduced in height.
