Description

Roughly L-shape, with circular stair in corner carried up

full height in rectangular turret with crow-stepped attic;

main wing originally 3 floors, now converted to 2 floors

by raising level of upper floor; datestone over chimney

in attic 1683, initials R.N., and B.N. Another datestone,

1799, initials A.N. - External walls.

Partly creamwashed and patched with cement; simple stone

window frames, edge-rolls; ridge slate roof; crow-stepped

gables - ground floor kitchen has original arched fireplace

recess - Range of late 18th century byres adjoin;

symmetrical facade to rear; recessed triple panels and

palladian motif.
