Description

Barr Castle, also known as Lockart Tower, is a solid keep situated on a rock that is slightly elevated above the road level. The castle is named after its former owner, Lockart of Barr. The entrance doorway is located on the first floor, and a circular staircase leads to the upper floors starting from the ingoing. The windows feature wide square recesses and are equipped with stone seats. The exterior has been significantly modernized, resulting in a loss of its original character.
