Description

St Sophia's Roman Catholic Church on Bentinck Street in Galston is a notable example of Byzantine style architecture. Constructed from red brick, the church features a prominent raised internal dome. It was built by the 3rd Marquess of Bute and completed in 1886, with the design attributed to architect Robert Weir Schultz.
