Description

Mid 19th century. 4-storey, 4-bay tenement building with shops to ground floor. Sandstone coursers to front, rubble elsewhere, grey slate roof. Corniced ground floor, wallhead course; margined windows with corbelled cills, 12-pane timber sash and case glazing; ashlar-coped skews with skewblocks, shouldered wallhead stack to front and gable stack to right, both rebuilt in brick.

FRONT ELEVATION: close entry to centre flanked by shopfronts to left and right with original size windows, 4 windows to each upper floor, 'Baltic Chambers' nameplate over 1st floor.

REAR ELEVATION: round stair tower with platt access.

INTERIOR: not seen.
