Description
Meadowside Gospel Hall, designed by James MacLaren in the mid 19th century, is a rectangular-plan, gabled building located on a corner site, with a smaller two-bay block facing Euclid Crescent. The exterior features stugged pinkish coursers and ashlar dressings, topped with a grey slate roof. It has buttressed walls, sawtooth-coped skews, and continuous rooflights, along with two pagoda-roofed louvred ridge ventilators.
On the front elevation, the principal gable is to the left, with a slightly advanced centre panel that is wider at the top, featuring a blocked basket-arch opening and a blank heraldic panel above. The angle to the left is chamfered and corbelled to a square. The entrance gable is slightly advanced to the right and wider at the bottom, containing a two-leaf door with a fanlight and a hoodmould that has a blank heraldic panel. There is an additional panel on the gable, and the coped skews have kneelers. To the far right, there is a bay with basement windows and a bipartite window on the ground floor, which also has a hoodmould and label stops.
The Bell Street elevation features a blank wall that is delineated by four recessed panels. The interior has not been seen.
