Weaving Factory, South Anchor Mill, 2 West Henderson's Wynd, Dundee

The Weaving Factory at South Anchor Mill, located at 2 West Henderson's Wynd in Dundee, dates from around 1865 and was extended to the west in the late 19th century. This single-storey jute weaving factory features a rubble wall on the eastern elevation, which has irregularly spaced doors and windows. The building has a double-pitched slate roof, with part of it re-roofed where the dressing towers were located. There is a brick addition that has been raised above the eaves, which includes a blocked hoist and oculi. The factory comprises four double-pitched weaving sheds, each with slate roofs and northern lights, and a rubble wall on the south side. Square flat-topped ventilators are present, and the western extension is similar but constructed with brick walls and metal ventilators. Inside, there are iron columns and wooden roofs.
