Description
Lochee Baptist Church, built in 1884 by Thomas Keir, is a simple rectangular-plan church with two by six bays. It is constructed of rubble with ashlar Romanesque details.
The east gable features a stepped corbel-table and a central round window above a relocated datestone from 1866. On either side of the gabled porch, there are round-headed keystoned lights, and a semi-circular keystoned window is also present. The church has a slate roof, with a Celtic cross finial at the east gable and a wrought-iron finial at the west gable. The windows on the sides are cathedral-paned, while the east windows are toughened, and the round window includes coloured patterns.
