Lochee West Church Hall, Nicholl's Lane, Dundee

Lochee West Church Hall, designed by James MacLaren in 1882, is a Gothic-style church hall featuring a single storey and a basement. The building is constructed from coursed rubble with ashlar dressings.

On the south gable, there is a large blocked 1-2-1 light window. A modern flat-roofed extension is located at ground level, flanked by pointed-arched doors and a stepped sill course. The gable has a half-piended design with twin octagonal stacks at the piends, and it includes a louvred timber gothic gablet ventilator topped with a wrought-iron finial.

The north gable is similarly designed but lacks the large window and basement, with one stack missing. It features a central gabled porch that is flanked by pointed-arched windows.

The side elevations consist of five bays, with a central gabletted pointed-arched window that breaks the eaves. The roofs are covered with slate, and the windows are top-hopper and casement style, featuring multi-paned hoppers. Inside, there is a mock hammer-beam roof supported by wrought-iron ties.

The church hall is enclosed by rubble-built boundary walls to the north and a modern wall to the south.
