143C Nethergate, Dundee

143C Nethergate is a late 18th-century, three-storey commercial building with a basement, situated on sloping ground in Dundee. It features a rectangular plan constructed from random rubble sandstone with ashlar dressings and a piended grey slate roof. The building predominantly has 12-pane timber sash and case windows, with re-cast margins on the south gable, and corniced wallhead stacks that have been cut down at the north gable.

On the west elevation, there is a door to the right, two basement windows to the left, and four small windows on the ground floor. The second window from the right has a lower cill and was likely a former goods entrance or door. The first floor has four windows, while the second floor has three.

The east elevation, which is likely the original front, is mostly obscured by 145 Nethergate but shows three windows in the right-hand bay and one further window to the left on the second floor.

The south gable has a modern door to the right with two stair windows above it, a blocked basement window to the left, and another basement window above that features modern vertical glazing as a door. There are windows on both the first and second floors.

The north gable is blank. The interior has not been seen.
