23, 25 Castle Street, Dundee

23 and 25 Castle Street in Dundee is an early 19th-century, four-storey building with an attic, designed as a tenement. It features redressed bull-faced coursers and painted concrete dressings, topped with a slate roof. The building has a cill course at the first, second, and third floors, as well as a wallhead course. The windows are modern two-pane sash and case style with painted ashlar margins, and there is a continuous box dormer that is out of character with the rest of the building.

The front elevation includes a pend entry on the left that leads to City Square, along with a plaque marking the site of the Lion Tavern, an early public house. To the right, there is a public house front that has undergone later modifications, and a close door is located at the far right. The first, second, and third floors each have five windows. The interior has not been seen.
