29 Castle Street, Dundee

29 Castle Street in Dundee is an early 19th century, three-storey commercial building featuring a four-bay front and a two-bay wing at the rear. The front is constructed from snecked sandstone coursers, while the rear is made of rubble, with ashlar dressings that are mostly covered in cement render. The roof is slate.

The front elevation includes a pend entry on the left side. The ground and first floors have been altered and are clad in tiles, except for the left bay on the first floor, which retains its original window opening. There is a band course at the second floor, above which are four round-headed windows with keystones, although the glazing has been altered and the upper parts are boarded. A small pediment with an oculus and a corniced stack is also present.

On the left return elevation, accessed through the pend, there are two bays with two basement windows. The ground and first floors feature two windows that rise through both levels, but all these windows are blocked. Additionally, there is a further round-headed window on the left return gable, which is partly obscured by an addition.
