161-163 High Street, Linlithgow

161-163 High Street in Linlithgow is an early 19th-century, three-storey, five-bay tenement building featuring a central pend and shops on the ground floor. The northern elevation is constructed from squared and coursed, stugged cream sandstone rubble. It has base and eaves courses, with roll-moulded margins at the ground level and raised margins on the first and second floors.

On the northern entrance elevation, the bays are arranged asymmetrically at the ground level, with a pend in the center. To the right, there is a tripartite shop front with a door in the center flanked by windows, while to the left, there is a door to the right and two windows to the left. The first and second floors feature regular fenestration, with smaller windows on the second floor.

The ground floor windows have fixed 12-pane designs, the first floor has 12-pane sash and case windows, and the second floor features 4-pane windows. The roof is covered with grey slate, and there are ashlar coped skews and a coped sandstone stack on the eastern gable.
