Warehouse, Dens Street, Dundee

This building is a flax warehouse located on Dens Street in Dundee, constructed in 1828. It is a rubble-built structure with three stories and a symmetrical front featuring six bays. The ground floor has two large loading doors, while the first and second floors have narrower hoist doors above, each flanked by a window. A dated gear wheel is positioned at the center of the first floor. The north elevation has a two-storey twin-gabled design with loading doors and fire escapes. The east and west elevations each have three bays, with tie-plates at the second and third floors and windows on the first and second floors of the west elevation; the second-floor windows on the east elevation are blocked. The building has a U-shaped hipped slate roof with a valley behind and a central fire-barrier wall.

Inside, the construction features wooden posts and beams. A wall at the rear conceals access to a tunnel that runs under Dens Street to the Lower Dens Works, and there is a wrought-iron gate.
