Description
19 and 21 Commercial Street in Dundee is a mid-19th century commercial building with a slightly later top storey. It features five storeys and a basement, with a three-bay façade constructed from sandstone coursers and a flat roof. There is a band course at the fourth floor, which was formerly an eaves course, and a coped wallhead. The building has single and bipartite margined windows, with 2-pane timber sash and case glazing.
The front elevation has a modern shopfront on the ground floor, with a bipartite window in the center flanked by single windows on both the left and right at the upper floors. There is also a smaller window located to the far right, spanning the first to third floors.
On the rear elevation, the openings at the basement and ground floors have been blocked. The upper floors feature a bipartite window flanked by single windows, and there is a fire escape located to the right.
The interior has not been seen.
