Description

Earlier 19th century. 4-storey, attic and basement, 3-bay commercial building with shopfronts to ground floor. Sandstone coursers, stugged sandstone ashlar dressings, grey slate roof. Lintel band over ground floor, wallhead course; single and bipartite, 4-pane timber sash and case windows, gabled wallhead slate-hung dormer (former hoist door?); ashlar-coped skews with skew blocks, gable stack to left return.

FRONT ELEVATION: 2 doors, 2 plate-glass shopwindows and enlarged close door to ground floor, bipartite window flanked by single windows to left and right at 1st-3rd floors, bipartite at dormer.

REAR ELEVATION: door and 2 bipartites to ground floor, bipartite flanked by single window to left and right at 1st-3rd floors, altered openings to wallhead dormer.

INTERIOR: not seen.
