Description
Dairy Cottage, designed by probably William Burn around 1824 to 1840, is a symmetrical single-storey cottage with three bays. The front facade and sides are made of ashlar, while the rear is built from rubble and features a modern extension. The front has a centrally advanced gabled entrance topped with a finial. There is a hoodmoulded door with flanking windows, one of which has been much enlarged. The roof is piended and covered with slate, and there are shouldered corniced stacks at the gable ends.
