Description

Dudhope Castle Well, built in 1743, was originally located at Overgate. It was moved to Tally Street in 1828 and then to its current position beside Dudhope Castle in 1897. The well is a square section ashlar box with a cornice and a swept pyramidal roof. It features a cast-iron lion mask spout, although the pump handle is missing.
