Seabourne Lodge, 96 Monifieth Road, Broughty Ferry, Dundee

Seabourne Lodge, located at 96 Monifieth Road in Broughty Ferry, Dundee, is a single-storey, rectangular-plan lodge built in the mid-19th century, attributed to architects James MacLaren and George Shaw Aitken, with an extension added to the south later in the 19th century. The lodge features Jacobean details, a harled exterior, and a slate roof. It has margined angles, casement and sash windows, gables with saddleback coping, and bracketted skewputts. There are four moulded diagonal ridge stacks, each retaining its original can.

On the north elevation, the entrance door is centrally located beneath the eaves, with a bracketted lintel leading to the porch. The outer bays are gabled, featuring single windows with large-pane casements that are partly blocked, corbelled architraves, and a bracketted cornice adorned with a rosette and strapwork pediment.

The east elevation showcases two canted windows with facetted roofs at the gables.

The gatepiers consist of two squat octagonal ashlar structures with stop-chamfered arrises, featuring foliate, panelled, and billetted pyramidal caps.
