Description

Attributed to James MacLaren and George Shaw Aitken, mid 19th century, extended at S later 19th century. Single storey, rectangular-plan, 2-bay lodge with Jacobean details. Harled, slate roof. Margined angles, casement and sash and case windows, gables with saddleback coping and bracketted skewputts. 4 moulded diagonal ridge stacks each with original can.

N ELEVATION: door at centre under eaves, bracketted lintel to porch. Gabled outer bays; single windows with large-pane casements, partly blocked, corbelled architraves, bracketted cornice with rosette and strapwork pediment.

E ELEVATION: 2 canted windows with facetted roofs at gables.

GATEPIERS: 2 squat octagonal ashlar gatepiers with stop-chamfered arrises, foliate, panelled and billetted pyramidal caps.
