Description
Attributed to James MacLaren and George Shaw Aitken, later 19th century. Single storey lodge, L-plan with extension. Snecked rubble, harled extension, painted margins and chamfered rusticated quoins, slate roof. 2- and 4-pane sash and case windows. Moulded eaves, acroteria gables, moulded stack.
W ELEVATION: corniced rectangular porch in re-entrant with pier and pilasters, entrance door, single window at left. Canted window with cornice at advanced gable right; small panel in gable. Window at set-back extention at right, cat-slide roof.
N GABLE: tripartite window, cartouche at gable.
WALL AND GATEPIERS: 4 painted gatepiers with bases, carved panels and heavily moulded stylised caps. Low flanking walls, part quadrant, terminating in 2 plain pyramidal capped piers. Formerly with gates and railings.
