Description
Greenfield House, built around 1840, is a two-storey and basement, three-bay house located at 156 Perth Road in Dundee. The front of the house features a painted ashlar finish, while the sides and rear are constructed from rubble. It showcases good quality ironwork throughout.
The front elevation includes a two-storey and basement design with three bays, featuring a centrally located door that is consoled and corniced, accessible by steps. There is an ornamental wrought-iron lamp bracket and additional brackets for the guttering. The windows are set within the margins of the façade.
On the south elevation, the house rises to three storeys with canted end bays and a central door on the ground floor. The side elevations are blank, and there are large gable-end stacks. The roof is covered with slate.
The windows are sash and case with a two-pane glazing pattern. The property is further enhanced by ornamental wrought-iron railings topped with flower finials.
