Description
The Coach House at Kirkconnell Lea was built around 1870 and serves as a picturesque garden shed situated on a slope. It has a rectangular plan and features a three-bay west elevation with an entrance located in a narrow square central tower. The building is constructed of yellow brick, accented with contrasting bull-faced red ashlar dressings, including quoins, cills, lintels, and a base course. The lintels have shallow recessed pointed panels above the openings. The tower includes a string course at the main eaves level, which is raised above a plaque over the door, and has slit openings at the upper level. The upper brickwork on the north side is incomplete, likely intended for visual appeal. On either side of the tower are bipartite windows, and the roof is a monopitch covered with corrugated iron.
