Description
Dated 1737, as indicated on a door lintel, the Old Manse and its outbuildings represent a former parish manse that has fallen into disuse. The main building is a two-storey, three-bay structure built of rubble with ashlar dressings, featuring chamfered margins and ground floor openings with relieving arches. The rear (northwest) windows have been blocked, and the interior has largely been gutted, reflecting a conversion to agricultural use. The slated roof is not original. A pair of low, parallel outbuildings are situated to the south. A stone dated 1626 is set above the door. The building is assessed as having group value, although its condition is poor, which led to a change of listing category from B to C(S) on February 22, 1988.
