Description

The stables, likely remodelled around 1817, possibly by William Burn, are located at Craigielands. The west elevation has a near-symmetrical design, featuring a central gable with a wide, overhanging roof and a gateway. The south gable also has a broad, overhanging roof and a pair of arched openings for coach houses. A loft space is contained below the eaves. The stables are built of whitewashed rubble with ashlar dressings and feature sash windows with small panes of glass. Asymmetrical ranges extend from the north and west sides. Some fabric predates the 1817 remodelling.
