Description
The Beattock School, built circa 1890, is a single-storey school building located in Beattock Village. The building is constructed of bull-faced red ashlar with polished dressings, and features polychrome relieving arches. It has multi-paned mullioned and transomed windows, and a fleche ventilator. The eastern front elevation has outer gables and a recessed centre with a Z-arched open porch supported by a central column. The roof is slate, with red ridging tiles.
