Description
The Parish Manse at Kirkpatrick-Juxta dates to the mid-19th century. It is a two-storey manse characterised by gabled bays. The walls are rubble construction with red ashlar dressings. The windows are sash windows, primarily with lying panes. The main elevation has two bays; the right bay is gabled and features a canted two-storey window. The left bay projects at ground floor level and has a tripartite window. A three-bay entrance flank includes a doorway with a segmental arch. A projecting chimney breast is visible in the right gable, above which are two first-floor windows with dormer heads topped with spike finials. A lower, two-storey rear wing is also present. Low end stacks and roofs covered with graduated slates complete the external appearance.
