Description
West Shambellie Workshop is a mostly 19th century building that features stonework indicating several periods of construction. It is a long rectangular-plan shed and pottery that was formerly a bacon factory. The building has two to three levels and is constructed from rubble. There are a series of vertical slit openings on the upper level of both long walls, with similar openings on the north gable. A lean-to at the south gable has been converted into a garage. The ground level of the west elevation includes a former cart opening, two doors, and small windows, while a modern bipartite has been inserted at the south end of the east wall. The building has three apex stacks and is roofed with graded slates.
