Description

18th century snuffmill converted for domestic use early 19th

century.

2-storey house linked to outbuildings at east by screen wall.

All Painted rubble. North elevation of house: 5 bays, wide

inner bay with glazed and boarded door; all windows 12-pane

sashes; straight skews; end stacks (with additional brick

stack attached either side, rising from low level); slate

roof: additional full-height bay to left has monopitch roof

and drops to single storey at south.

Irregular fenestration to south elevation with 12-pane

sashes; French windows and 2 1st floor windows to right

recent insertions; off centre, 2 stones project between

floors.

Screen wall is irregular in height, on boulder base, and

links with gabled outhouse, now used as a garage, with

inserted roof lights; low range to south of latter has

monopitch roof, and 3 doors to north elevation.
