Description

The Parish Hall in New Abbey was originally built in 1806 as a Masonic Lodge and was converted into a church hall in 1887. It has since been transformed into a dwelling house.

The building is two storeys high and has four bays. It is constructed of painted rubble with red ashlar margins. On the east elevation, there is an off-centre panelled door topped with a shallow rectangular fanlight. The first-floor windows are 12-pane sashes, with the windows on this floor being taller than those below. Centrally placed between the floors is an elliptical date plaque. The building features straight skews and margined end stacks, and the roof is covered with graded slates.

To the east, there is a cobbled area, while the west elevation has altered openings.
