47 Main Street, Kirkinner

47 Main Street in Kirkinner is a later 18th century single-storey, three-bay cottage that has been combined with a taller, early 19th century two-bay cottage to form one property. The exterior features painted rubble with ashlar margins. There is a modern door located off-centre to the right of the three-bay cottage, flanked by windows, including one casement window on the outer right. To the left, there are two windows in the taller bays. The windows are sash and case style, with four-pane and plate glass glazing. The roof is covered with grey slates and includes a very small rooflight and a sandstone ridge. The building has a mutual gable stack and a stack for the taller bays, both featuring thackstanes. At the rear, there is a flat-roofed extension that has two windows in a rain-formed style.
