Description
This is a late 18th century cottage located at 12 Main Street, Kirkinner. It is a single storey, three-bay building constructed of painted rubble. A boarded, gabled porch addition is centrally located. Small sash windows with plate glass glazing are positioned on either side of the porch. A window is also present in the left return gable. A small, flat-roofed extension projects from the rear. The roof is covered in graded grey slates, with ashlar coped skews and end stacks topped with thackstanes. A sandstone ridge runs along the roofline. The cottage was formerly known as Hannah and re-dated in 1993.
