Description
Corsewall Farm is an early 19th-century single-storey and attic cottage with a 3-bay plan, extended later by a single-storey addition connecting it to a former farm outbuilding at the rear. The cottage is constructed of painted rubble with painted margins, and has overhanging eaves. The south elevation features a gabled porch at the centre, now with a modern door, and a ball finial to the ridge. Windows are located in the outer bays, with gabled dormer windows above them. The east elevation is blank. The west elevation has a lower, piended link block forming an L-shape with the outbuilding, and a window to the right, facing south. Lattice-pane glazing is found in sash and case windows throughout. The building has rendered and coped gablehead stacks to both the east and west sides. The roof is covered with graded grey slates, topped by an octagonal can on the west stack. A rubble steading is situated to the north of the farmhouse. Corsewall Farm is part of a larger estate and should be considered alongside separate listings for Corsewall Bridge, Dovecot, Corsewall House, Manor Lodge, Walls and Gatepiers, Stables, and the Walled Garden.
