Description

12 Creebridge in Newton Stewart is a later 18th century house that has been remodeled and is now divided into two separate units. It is a two-storey, three-bay structure located at the end of a terrace. The east elevation features squared and coursed granite with whinstone pinning, while the other sides are finished in painted rubble. The outer bays have concrete lintels, cills, and mullions, and there is a red sandstone eaves cornice.

On the east elevation facing Creebridge, there is a modern door in the center bay and a window on the first floor, with a moulded sandstone plaque between them that reads "IAMB 1769." The outer bays have bipartite windows. The northeast elevation has a window at ground level on the right and a blocked window on the first floor. The south elevation is attached to a lower building, No 10 Creebridge.

The west elevation features a modern two-storey gabled addition in the center. The ground floor has plate glass glazing in sash and case windows, while the first floor has modern timber top-hopper windows. The gablehead is adorned with red sandstone coped skews that extend across to the north, with scroll skewputts. There are broad gablehead stacks, with cherry-caulked granite on the north side and brick on the south. The roof is covered with small grey slates.
