Description

The Glaisters Bridge, probably dating to around 1830, is a single-arch bridge spanning the Urr Water, situated near Glaisters farm on the boundary between Kirkpatrick-Durham and Balmaclellan. It features a depressed arch with dressed springers and red sandstone voussoirs. The bridge has a rubble spandrel, soffit, and parapet. The abutment terminal piers are constructed of rubble.
