Description
Craigenputtock is an early 19th century, two-storey, three-bay farmhouse with a small courtyard steading located at the rear (west). The building is constructed from rubble and is whitewashed, featuring contrasting painted ashlar margins.
On the east elevation of the house, there is a central panelled door with a fanlight, which is set behind a shallow open porch with an ashlar cornice. The house has sash windows with 12-pane glazing, straight skews, and corniced end stacks, with a roof covered in graded slates. There is a low rear wing that leads to the courtyard.
The steading has some altered or inserted openings and consists of a small L-plan range, which was built in two phases and closes the courtyard to the south and west. There is also a detached long range to the north that is partly built on a boulder base.
