Description
Riverstead is a two-storey, three-bay house built in the later 19th century. The structure is made of rubble, squared on the west elevation, with granite dressings that include long and short quoins and margins. The eaves course is continuous with the first-floor lintels.
On the west elevation facing Creebridge, there is a modern door with a fanlight located in the left bay. The windows are regularly arranged, with smaller windows on the first floor. The wallhead extends over the pebbledash elevation of Dunbar House, which is listed separately.
The north elevation features painted rubble above the lower building of Dunbar House. The south elevation is blank, while the east elevation has two bays.
The house has plate glass glazing in sash and case windows, with coped skews and gablehead stacks. The steeply pitched roof is covered with purple slates and includes two rooflights on the west pitch, along with octagonal cans.
There is a low wall with spearhead railings enclosing the garden across the road to the west.
