Description
This is a two-storey, two-bay house built around 1800, part of a terrace. It is constructed from whinstone rubble with contrasting granite dressings. The entrance door is located in the left bay and is closely flanked by a pend. To the right, there is a regrettable modern canted window at ground level. The original windows on the first floor retain their original size. The sash and case windows feature plate glass glazing. The roof is covered with graduated purple and grey slates, and the house has raised and coped skews. A tall chimney stack is positioned at the right end. To the right, there is a single-storey property that shares a common roofline and construction date with the house on the left.
