Description

Hallhill Bridge is a steel lattice-girder bridge dating to 1892, constructed by Alexander Finlay & Company of Motherwell, as inscribed on a plaque. The bridge carries a farm access track over Cluden Water. It consists of two spans of unequal length, the smaller span being to the north. The bridge rests on bull-faced red ashlar abutments and a single pier, featuring pointed cutwaters on either side to direct water flow. The bridge is located in Holywood parish.
