Description
80-82 Friars Vennel is a three-storey corner tenement building dating from around 1800, which includes a shop on the ground floor. The building features a chamfered corner and an ogee corbel that transitions to a square shape at the first floor. It has four bays facing Friars Vennel and three bays on Irish Street. The shop windows and doors, as well as the fascia on Friars Vennel, are modern. The exterior is finished in painted droved ashlar with margins. There are blind inner windows on Irish Street and a single blind window on Friars Vennel. The glazing is mostly modern on the first floor, while the second floor has sash windows with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The building has an eaves and lintel band and is topped with a slate roof.
