This is a three-storey corner building located at 184 Irish Street in Dumfries, dated 1897. It features five bays facing Irish Street, a single bay on Buccleuch Street, and a narrow bay at the canted angle. The ground floor is occupied by shops. The exterior is constructed of stugged red ashlar with polished long-and-short worked dressings and shaped window heads on the first floor. There is a round-arched door with a keystone at the canted angle, centrally positioned on Irish Street, with a wall-head stack above it on a projecting chimney breast.
