Description
77 Buccleuch Street is an early 19th century row of three terraced houses, each two stories high and two bays wide. The houses feature cast-iron railings around their basements and are constructed from droved red ashlar with polished dressings, although Nos 75 and 79 have been painted. Each house has a round-arched doorway located in the left bay, accessed by flyover steps, and features deeply recessed panelled doors with pilastered jambs and decorative fanlights. The ground floor windows are recessed within round-arched shallow panels, while No 79 has a modern Venetian window. The sash windows in Nos 75 and 77 are small-paned at the first floor. Additional architectural details include a base course, a first floor cill band, a cornice, end stacks, and slate roofs.
