Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey 3-bay house with raised

basement. Cherry-caulked white granite blocks with

contrasting red ashlar dressings, raised quoins and long and

short worked door and window dressings. Symmetrical east

elevation: deeply recessed panelled door with columned jambs

and ogee traceried fanlight, approached by splayed steps with

plain handrails; 1st floor tripartite above (blind outer

lights) with ogival-headed inner light, pointed flanking

lights. Sash windows to outer bays, 4 panes at ground,

12-pane at 1st floor. Base course; eaves/lintel band; cornice Symmetrically placed margined stacks; piended slate roof.

Gabled rear wings and outbuildings.
