Walled Garden, Cally Estate

The Walled Garden at the Cally Estate is a large garden, likely dating from the late 18th century. It features stone-coped, buttressed brick walls, which are lower on the south and part of the east and west walls. There is a central cart gate in the south wall and a lintelled cart entry in the north wall. The east and west walls each have arched doorways with rotting wrought iron gates.

Towards the north, there is a detached glass-house range, with the central section showcasing fine glazing bars, while the side sections are heavier. Back to back with the glasshouse range is a harled lean-to potting shed and store range, which includes Venetian windows at the ends and an off-centre chimney stack.

In the northwest corner, there is a two-storey, three-bay gardener's cottage that is harled and features a cill band. The cottage has 12-pane sash and case windows on either side, with a 12-pane deadlight in the centre above a blocked doorway. To the right, there is a modern doorway and porch, and the building has a corrugated asbestos roof with gable chimney stacks.
