Description

2 Ferguson Place in Lockerbie is a building constructed in the second half of the 18th century. It has two storeys and features five bays, with the southernmost bay (No 2) possibly not being original. The exterior is made of whitewashed rubble with contrasting painted ashlar margins. There are two doors; the door to No 2 is a two-leaf panelled design with a five-pane fanlight that includes a spun glass panel, while No 3 has a modern panelled door. The windows are small-paned sash types, and the first floor has square windows with a vertical glazing pattern. The building has rebuilt end stacks and is roofed with graded slates. A lean-to structure is attached to the south gable.
